1951 Hideo Tahara establishes an iron factory in Tokyo.
1961 The company is incorporated as Tahara Iron Works Co., Ltd. and starts manufacturing blow molding machines.
1967 The office and factory are moved to the present site.
1969 The company is reorganized as Tahara Engineering Co., Ltd. and wholly owned by Kanematsu Corp. with a capital of 20,000,000yen.
1974 Merges with Shoei Industrial Machinery Ltd. and changes its name to Tahara-Shoei Engineering Ltd.
1984 Expands the assembly factory.
1988 Increases the capital to 50,000,000yen.
1989 Changes its name to Tahara Machinery Ltd.
1993 Develops first electric blow molding machine and introduces to the market.
1995 Establishes comprehensive business alliance with a German company Battenfeld-Fischer.
1997 Develops first electric stretch blow molding machine and introduces to the market.
2000 Hitachi Zosen Corporation becomes the shareholder.
2002 Constructs the second assembly factory.
2006 The Japan Steel Works, LTD. becomes the shareholder.
2010 Tahara signs a licensing agreement with an American company Graham Packaging Company L.P.
